Eavis reveals he only takes £60k wage from Glastonbury
Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis has revealed that he only takes a £60,000 wage from the event despite it turning over a whopping £32million.
The organiser said that he is not interested in making money from the event personally.
“I get a wage of £60,000 but I pay more than that to my cowman,” he said.
“I am not going to buy a flashy car – I bought a Mini for my wife 14 years ago.
“I don’t really like going on holiday – I just have a little cottage in Cornwall.”
Eavis revealed that any left over profits are not carried over and usually given away to charity.
“Yesterday, the girls said there is a quarter of a million left over.
“I said let’s get rid of it, send it on to the charity today
Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2015 sold out in less than 30mins, however a resale is expected some time in spring.
